GRAMMAR TIP - I'd (I would) rather.../Would you rather...?

These expressions refer to preferences: maybe I can read a book or wash the dishes. I clearly prefer reading a book than washing, so the correct expression is:

I'd rather read a book (than wash the dishes).

And, if I want to ask about someone's preferences, a correct question could be:

Would you rather cook or walk the dog?
